Energy efficiency is sexy.

On December 15, 2009 President Obama addressed the nation from a Home Depot in Alexandria Virginia. His message was that energy retrofits can help American’s save money on their energy bills.

“Insulation is sexy stuff. ... Here's what's sexy about it -- saving money!," Mr. Obama said.

Mr. Obama has been a long time advocate of weatherization. He urged Congress to pass further retrofit incentives, that would supplement aid that has been delivered to over 500,000 homes through the stimulus package.
