About the Position:
BNIM’s Interiors group is at the forefront of industry research and practice related to human-centered design. The team led the AIA’s “Open Source Office” campaign at the 2012 AIA Convention and has continued to collect a body of research and experience that drives our rigorous, world-class projects in a way that is paradigmatic of both design excellence and environmental and human performance.

Our Interior Architects and Designers bring diverse skills and are effective, respected and integral team players. Our Interiors team is integrated throughout the studios and projects, versus operating as a singular studio—we’re key team players and leaders from start to finish.

We are seeking an Interior Architect/Designer who is passionate about design excellence, sustainability and high performance design projects. We’ve learned that a person with a passion for client relations and thought leadership is a good fit for this position. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in interior architecture, interior design, or architecture.

Experience must show essential design ability, a strong creative design portfolio, and a strong technical knowledge of interior systems that would be required by corporate, government and mixed use projects.

General Requirements:
•                Critical design thinking throughout the design process
•                Architectural knowledge
•                Proficiency in Revit and other 3-D imaging design software is preferred
•                Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills

•                A deadline and detail-oriented work ethic
•                Product research, selection, and detailing
•                Furnishings design and specifications
•                LEED AP is preferred
