BNIM is Building Positive

KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 14, 2017 — Today, multidisciplinary design firm BNIM announced that it has introduced a new brand identity that affirms the firm's identity and commitment to design as a lever for positive change. The firm launched its contemporary logo and color scheme that offers a fresh look and appeal with a common but customizable visual language. The logo is now the firm name in lower-case Mark OT. The brand reveal also highlights Building Positive, the BNIM ethos and way of working that results in transformation, authenticity, and delight. This diverse group of mindful designers and planners are Building Positive as One BNIM, guided by this shared purpose.

"Our brand is our work and our people," says Steve McDowell, BNIM CEO. "This identity program celebrates our people, process, and projects. The visual language, common and customizable by office and individual, represents the momentum and personality of each of our three offices and reaffirms our common framework as One BNIM."

"BNIM is Building Positive," McDowell says. "Everything we do is dedicated to making communities, organizations, and ecosystems stronger. We are designing for positive outcomes at every level—creating places where people, communities, and ecosystems thrive, not just survive."

BNIM's new identity reveal coincides with several firm events: this past month the firm's Kansas City office moved into Crown Center after a significant transformation of a portion of the Hallmark building into a contemporary work space. The new offices will become a model for transformative workplace design, supported by Crown Center's environmental commitment. The firm also recently announced the promotion of new Principals and Associates. "These individuals join BNIM's existing leadership in realizing BNIM's collective capacity as design thinkers solving the local and global design challenges of our clients," says McDowell.
