BNIM shortlisted for Edmonton Airport Redevelopment Design Competition

The Airport Redevelopment competition calls for teams to develop vision for the 536-acre City Centre Airport site located in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. The teams will have four months to develop a master plan to define the sustainable redevelopment of the future, which will house 30,000 people in a family-oriented environment.

The BNIM team was one of five teams chosen from 33 applications. The four other finalists include Sweco International AB from Stockholm, Sweden, Perkins + Will, from Vancouver, KCAP Architects & Planners from Rotterdam, Netherlands, and Foster & Partners, from London, UK.

Competition winners will be announced in early 2011.
