Kathy Achelpohl, AIA, LEED AP BD+C / Principal /

Kathy Achelpohl, AIA, LEED AP BD+C / Principal
Kathy Achelpohl leads BNIM’s Higher Education sector. She has extensive experience leading complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams on high profile projects. One of Kathy’s many strengths is her ability to improve communication both on her project teams and within the firm. Kathy served as a team leader for the Bloch Building Addition at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (in collaboration with Steven Holl), and she has proven management and project architecture skills on projects such as Chatham University's Eden Hall Campus Sustainable Master Plan and the School of Nursing Student Community Center at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Kathy is active in the community and serves as a commissioner for the Kansas City Missouri Municipal Arts Commission. The Governor of Missouri recently appointed her to the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Landscape Architects.
