The team used the urban design principles of walkability, mixed-use, connectivity, compactness, sustainability and community for this development. BNIM is working with the TVCDC, multiple tribal governmental agencies, local non-profits, a team of experts and the Oglala Lakota Oyate to develop a Regional Plan for Sustainable Development. The master plan to renovate Kansas City's historic City Hall establishes a long-term vision that restores the dignity and functionality to the building and its grounds. BNIM worked with the EPA to develop an environmentally and economically sustainable plan for Jefferson City, Missouri This national contest challenged teams to create models of what some of the nation’s prominent urban centers could look like in 100 years. Align Collaborative’s conceptual master plan transformed the Airport Lands into a sustainable and nurturing environment BNIM led comprehensive design team to develop a plan for a new building for the David Geffen School of Medicine. BNIM was selected to help lead the recovery planning of Springfield after a tornado ripped through the city. The Sustainable Reuse Plan is a framework that will guide the future land use and development of the Municipal Farm site. BNIM was retained by the City of Riverside to create the Comprehensive Master Plan and Implementation Guidelines to lead the City into a new decade. The major objective for North Charleston is to offer an alternative to urban sprawl by setting the benchmark for smart growth. In collaboration with The Clark Enersen Partners, BNIM was selected by UMKC)to provide programming and conceptual design services for the Hospital Hill campus. The plan for Rockhurst’s 62-acre campus is a strong statement of commitment to Kansas City and the University’s surrounding community. The plan helps KCAI advance a collaborative and interdisciplinary curriculum with a strong focus on environmental stewardship. BNIM and the planning team worked with the EPA to develop an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable vision for the South Capitol area of Lincoln. The Plan will tie multiple districts together though one “grand” project that will serve as an icon for the city. “Better Block KC” transformed Grand Boulevard into a living demonstration of a green, complete and livable community asset. A plan for the design of Broadway’s pedestrian corridor from 6th to 14th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. BNIM created a complete master plan for the City of Mission that gives the city a positive direction for the future. BNIM has been a part of the Make It Right project since it was started in 2007 with the goal to build 150 green, affordable, high-quality homes. BNIM worked with the University to develop a strategic vision for the 1,000-acre Carolina North campus that focused on it being a model of sustainability. Selected by the City of Raymore, Missouri, BNIM developed a stormwater management plan to provide a strategy for future development within the rapidly growing suburban community. BNIM was asked to design and implement a master plan that would incite redevelopment and new development in historic East Lawrence. New Belgium Brewing Company asked the Elements division of BNIM to work with them on envisioning a master plan for their 50-acre site. The Overflow Control Plan addresses repairing and improving the Kansas City’s 150-year-old combined sanitary sewer system. BNIM was retained as a design partner in creating new improvements to enhance the office park’s value and environment. BNIM provided planning services for a new Central Campus at the south edge of the Texas Medical Center in Houston. The Flint Hills Regional Plan promotes economic development, protects natural resources and strengthens Flint Hills communities. BNIM’s redevelopment plan was designed around the goals and objectives that the Holy Cross Board of Directors approved for the historic campus. BNIM, together with local developers Copaken, White & Blitt, was selected to create a plan for a compact, mixed-use development for the City of Lenexa, KS. BNIM was retained to create a plan that will assist the University of Texas’ response to potential natural hazards, especially flooding disasters.
