Restoration / Renovation / Description
BNIM views any adaptive reuse, restoration, renovation or redevelopment project as an exciting opportunity to redefine the purpose of an existing building or place. We identify each subject's unique characteristics in order to find solutions that address key factors like organizational performance, human health and productivity, energy use and water conservation. In cases of historic significance, our focus is always on increasing performance, updating obsolete systems and preserving the historic character of a place.
BNIM was commissioned to develop a design that recognized both the rich Beaux-Arts detailing of original museum and the modern celebration of light and space in the Bloch Building.
BNIM’s has participated in all phases of the efforts to save and restore the turn-of-the-century Folly Theater in downtown Kansas City.
Since 2008, BNIM has led numerous successful renovation projects at Missouri State University.
