The Westwood City Hall includes council chambers, a courtroom, a multipurpose community room with a kitchen, a police facility and public restrooms. The massing of the 16,000 square foot building satisfied two functions. The first of these was to transform the center circular form into a combined courtroom and council chambers. The second issue was to allow public safety and administrative functions to operate in the west wing of the building.

To serve a small residential community with a broad range of needs, BNIM designed Westwood City Hall to be a comfortable and compatible addition to the neighborhood. The unusual footprint of the building was designed to take advantage of the corner site. The building and the parking lot were positioned on the site to preserve several mature trees.
