AIA Show Your Work Virtual Tour of Palomar College Maintenance and Operations Complex
AIA Kansas City’s new program, Show Your Work, takes an in-depth look at Design Excellence Award winning projects. For their first Show Your Work, they will be featuring BNIM’s project Palomar Community College Maintenance and Operations Complex in San Diego, California. AIA Kansas City and AIA San Diego will be taking a virtual tour of the building followed by a Q+A panel discussion - led by BNIMers Jeremy Knoll and Danielle Buttacavoli - and conversation of the Living Building Petal Certification and high-performance design themes from two of BNIM’s Kansas City-based community college projects. Representatives of the project owner, architect, engineer and construction teams will engage the audience throughout the virtual walking tour and showcase the creative strategies, processes and systems used to deliver a net-zero energy building to this community college campus.
The virtual tour and Q&A panel took place on Wednesday, June 16 from 2:00 – 3:00pm PST.
