BNIM celebrates dedication ceremony of Roy Blunt Hall addition at Missouri State University

BNIM celebrated the dedication of the Roy Blunt Hall Addition at Missouri State University (MSU) on September 12. The addition is the first phase of the transformation of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS) program’s home on MSU campus, and the second phase will encompass the renovation of the existing building, scheduled to be completed in 2026.

The addition and renovation of Blunt Hall brings together three departments of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Geography, Geology & Planning within the CNAS program. Roy Blunt Hall is designed to serve as a welcoming place for students and faculty, while showcasing CNAS research and programs to the campus community. The recently completed addition introduces new state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories, updated lecture halls, and engaging learning spaces. The addition also introduces generous natural light into the building, nurtures connections to nature and to the surrounding campus, and focuses on creating flexible and comfortable spaces.

“Now we have the facilities our students and faculty deserve, and science is truly on display,” Dr. Tamera Jahnke, Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Missouri State News
