BNIM to Participate in Preview for Bloch Galleries

Nelson-Atkins Museum offers press early viewing of new galleries designed by BNIM

February 22, 2017 - In a design that honors the Bloch Collection, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and the museum’s focus on public engagement and user experience, the BNIM design team created a contemporary, high-performance gallery space within the historic structure. The set of galleries—dynamically linked to one another—is carefully designed to engage individual or group visitors in the collection: the pieces themselves are displayed in the context of colors and materials meticulously chosen, and state of the art lighting closely emulates the light conditions of the place and time of each work’s creation.
