On Tuesday, June 1, 2021 Kemin Application Solutions (KAS) celebrated an in-person groundbreaking for their newest expansion at its global headquarters campus in Des Moines, Iowa. This new $4.5 million, 11,632 square foot building will be located to the east of Kemin’s corporate headquarters building and will contain a mixture of production and assembly spaces, testing lab, office and conference room space, break room and outdoor patio with a grilling area. The facility will also feature approximately 4,500 square feet of windows to bring natural daylight to the interior of the building to enhance the working environment.

This new facility will double the space used by the Kemin Application Solutions team, which currently occupies a separate warehouse space. It will also provide a gathering space for Kemin’s Mexico KAS group to visit while in Des Moines and allows customers to tour the facility. This new facility placement was designed to match and align with the neighboring Maintenance Building to establish a consistent street frontage and clear understanding that these separate buildings are part of a single complex, all aligning with the main headquarters design. The existing wet pond will be relocated to the northeast, creating a visual focal point in the center of the complex, allowing future builds to be organized around it. This new facility is set to be completed in early 2022.
