Kevin Nordmeyer presents at the Iowa Energy Summit

BNIM Principal Kevin Nordmeyer, AIA, LEED AP, will present on High Efficiency Homebuilding, presented by IEDA, at the 2020 virtual Iowa Energy Summit. On November 10th from 9:00 - 10:00am, Jeff Geerts, Special Projects Manager, IEDA, Dan Clark, Director, Iowa Prison Industries, and Kevin will hold a a panel discussion on high efficiency homebuilding in Iowa. The panel members will discuss the IEDA funded projects they are currently working on, including the creation of high efficiency home prototypes and a new prison-based homebuilder training program. The panel will also touch on the use of disaster relief funds for energy efficiency efforts.

In 2008, Kevin was awarded the ISU College of Design’s Design Achievement Award in recognition for substantial contribution to the discipline of architecture. In 2017, Kevin received the AIA Iowa Medal of Honor, the highest recognition bestowed upon an individual from the AIA Iowa chapter, for his continued contributions to the profession and leadership in sustainable design.
