Kirk Family YMCA Ribbon Cutting

On October 14, there will be ribbon cutting and ceremony for the Kirk Family YMCA, followed by a tour of the building. The Kirk Family YMCA, in the former Lyric Theatre building in Downtown Kansas City, has been opening in phases. In May, it began serving 50 children a week in a YMCA summer day camp program through August 12 addressing an important need to provide learning and social opportunities for youth while supporting working parents. Bringing the Y back to the urban core after more than two decades, the Kirk Family YMCA is a welcoming and inclusive community resource that includes programming to support the needs of these diverse populations.
