LifeServe Blood Center Headquarters Celebrates Groundbreaking in Johnston, IA

The official groundbreaking event for LifeServe Blood Center's new 56,000 SF Headquarters building, designed by BNIM, will take place on Tuesday, August 23rd from 9 – 10 a.m. in Johnston, IA. RSVP and learn more about event details here.

Serving more than 150 hospitals across the Midwest region, LifeServe Blood Center has been working with BNIM to design a new headquarters building in Johnston, IA, that will better support the organization’s vital work within the community and their mission to save lives. The LifeServe Blood Center Headquarters will provide a collaborative, flexible environment that includes a donor center, blood drive and blood center operations support spaces, 24/7 lab for blood processing, and a series of office, administrative, and collaboration areas. The project features welcoming outdoor and indoor spaces that will aim to strengthen community connections, clearly demonstrate LifeServe’s mission, and encourage meaningful interaction between LifeServe staff, volunteers, and donors.

“The building is designed for views, daylight, access, and interaction. It’s going to share that with the community as it sits on this very important corner in the city of Johnson. LifeServe has been amazing. From day one, they have talked about how they need to be a really good participant in this city. This is going to be an amazing facility, I believe, for everybody. I couldn’t be more proud in representing our firm in being a part of it.” - Rod Kruse, FAIA, LEED AP, LifeServe Blood Center Headquarters Groundbreaking Event
