LifeServe Blood Center Headquarters is featured in The Architect’s Newspaper May issue. In an interview with AN’s Kristine Klein, the BNIM design team shared about their collaborative discovery process and integrated design approach to create a new headquarters, donor center, and blood processing facility that centers on human well-being and comfort, functionality, flexibility, and longevity to support LifeServe Blood Center’s life-saving work.

At LifeServe Blood Center, a laboratory and blood donation center in Iowa, the building’s integrated design operates the same way: If you take away any component, it doesn’t work as it should. BNIM Architects designed the facility in Johnston, Iowa, to account for privacy, where needed, while also delivering a building that puts its life-saving vocation front and center.”
