Ryan McCabe to Speak at Facades+ Conference

BNIM architect Ryan McCabe, AIA, will speak at the Facades+ Conference in Kansas City on July 19. Ryan joins Anthony Birchler, Vice President of Engineering at Zahner, and Ryan Gedney, Senior Vice President at HOK, for a panel titled International: Innovations in Façade Design and Delivery.

Ryan’s presentation will detail the iterative design process that shaped the exterior façade for the expansion of the United States Embassy in Kampala, Uganda. This will be examined through the tools, technology, and team, which looked to create a building that optimized performance and embodied the spirit of its place.

Ryan is a project architect in BNIM’s Kansas City office. He has a passion for design and excels in translating complex programmatic challenges into simple design solution. In addition to his work on the Embassy, Ryan is also working on the West Bottoms Flats and the renovation of the Lyric Opera Building into a downtown YMCA.

The Facades+ conference is a robust dialogue about all things building skin, with participants that bridge the profession, industry, academia, operations, and ownership. It focuses on the design and performance of the next generation of façades.
