The KC Ballet previously occupied a smaller space within the existing building’s first floor. When provided the opportunity to sign a lease on the ground level space of the building, the KC Ballet collaborated with BNIM to envision and design their future South Campus at Meadowbrook location. The renovation features four studios, four locker rooms, office space, and two waiting areas. The South Campus houses many of the KC Ballet’s programs, including kids’ and adults’dance classes as well as fitness classes. Enhancing accessibility was a key focus of the design team, addressing a surface level change going into the studios through the design of ramps and generous walkways.
