BNIM, in collaboration with PageSoutherlandPage, designed the new Outdoor Discovery Center at Gunnison and Southwest Regional Service Center for the Colorado Division of Wildlife. The program for the complex includes indoor and outdoor educational/recreational components, Division offices, a customer service center, classrooms, an education/visitor center, an indoor shooting range, and shop and storage buildings.
Sustainable strategies have been integrated into the design of the building and site. The complex complies with the state’s High Performance Certification Program (HPCP) and has a goal to achieve LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council.
