BNIM is a nationally recognized architecture, landscape architecture, design and planning firm committed to sustainability and design excellence.  We are looking for an Executive Assistant to

support our Kansas City office.   

Primary responsibilities include: prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner; project team support and project related documentation and filing; arrange travel schedule and reservations for Principals and office staff; screen Principals” email, mail, voicemail and appointments using good judgement and knowledge; anticipate Principals’ needs and proactively bring together appropriate people and other resources to support their activities.  

Additional responsibilities include: prepare expense reimbursements and reconcile credit card statements, meeting coordination, event planning, presentation creation and support, electronic project document filing and organization, marketing research and support, filing, and other administrative duties as assigned.

This position fits an individual who is flexible, outgoing, detail oriented, willing to take initiative, motivated, along with strong time-management skills, strong writing, editing and verbal skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and clients.  Strong decision making ability and attention to detail is critical.  Position will be responsible for heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants as well as consultants to coordinate a variety of complex executive meetings. A high level of discretion and confidentiality is required of this position.

Required technical skills include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and conducting internet research. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and productivity tools such as Newforma and/or Deltek Vision is a plus. Experience in the A/E industry is a plus.  Construction administration experience is a plus, as is experience with writing and editing.
