Rod Kruse Forecasts Human Performance-Based Design Trend in Business Record Cover Story
Rod Kruse, FAIA, was featured in the cover story of the Business Record’s “Trends to Watch in 2018” issue, published on January 5, 2018. As one of 13 recognized leaders in the Greater Des Moines business community, Rod was asked about upcoming trends in the design industry and elaborated specifically on changes in the workplace toward more human performance-based design. "More and more employers are expanding their focus on the health and productivity of their employees and staff and are seeking work environments that produce measurable metrics of human performance," he said.
Rod predicts that in 10 years, "All industries will acknowledge and address the importance of daylight and views on human health and move away from the windowless spaces often provided for the most important aspect of their business — people."
