Roy Blunt Luminary Park

Connecting neighborhoods to revitalize Kansas City's downtown district with a planned park over I-670

Roy Blunt Luminary Park

Information

Roy Blunt Luminary Park reimagines the I-670 corridor as a vibrant civic landscape and community hub, introducing green space, accessible play areas, enhanced pedestrian and bicycle transit, and community amenities. Situated between the southern edge of the Central Business District and northern edge of the Crossroads District, Roy Blunt Luminary Park will consist of a 5.5 acre site on top of a below-grade portion of I-670, transforming this area into a downtown destination and community connector. BNIM is part of a multidisciplinary team with OJB and HNTB contributing to this future-focused initiative in Downtown Kansas City.
