The new Glenn Korff School of Music Building will be a premiere creative center for music and dance excellence located on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) campus. It will redefine what it means to be a collaborative, inclusive, and healthy environment for performing arts education for the 21st century. Located at the corner of 10th and Q streets, the building will act as a welcoming front door to the city campus and tie into the existing Arts Quad.
Amy Dishman is NCIDQ certified, a LEED Accredited Professional, and BNIM's latest LFA professional, with over 15 years design experience in education, residential, commercial, healthcare, corporate, governmental and civic projects. She is known for her passion for sustainable and active design and believes in promoting health and well-being through the interaction between the natural and built environments.
Fiona Bhuyan is a designer in BNIM's Kansas City office. Fiona takes an interdisciplinary approach to ensuring all the elements of design result in a cohesive manner. She positions her work as a form of art and stays in close touch with latest technology and tools in order to establish strong timelessness. Her experience at BNIM includes a variety of projects such as The REACH expansion at the John F. Kennedy Center and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music.
Joyce Raybuck is a Principal at BNIM with over 15 years of professional experience. Her background includes extensive national and international experience on innovative projects in higher education, embassy design, office and urban development. Joyce is interested in the relationship of quantitative performance and its qualitative manifestation in architecture. She sees research, analysis, and testing as crucial to questioning each facet of a design and its implementation.

BNIM's Joyce Raybuck and Dana Sorensen will present an engaging session entitled "Cultivating Community Presence, Sustainability, and Inclusivity in Arts Education" at this year's AIA Nebraska '23 Conference on September 28, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Joyce and Dana will highlight key strategies for flexibility, sustainability, and human-centered spaces to support arts education, community presence, and inclusivity.
KANSAS CITY, Mo (May 2, 2022) — In February 2022, BNIM was selected by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) to lead the design of the new $75 million, Glenn Korff School of Music (GKSOM) Building. The new facility is anticipated to open in the fall of 2025 and will serve as a next-generation performing arts education facility that is a venue for cross-disciplinary collaboration and artistic expression.
The BNIM Interiors studio travelled to Chicago earlier this summer to attend NeoCon, one of the largest commercial interior design expos and conferences in North America. Our Interiors team – Amy, David, Janell, Katie, Sarah, and Tina - joined designers from across the country at the three-day event to explore the latest products, materials, and innovations in design.
