Paola Sanguinetti

Dr. Paola Sanguinetti is an accomplished design educator, researcher, and leader advancing the future of architecture through technology, innovation, and inclusive learning. She serves as Director of The Design School at Arizona State University, the largest and most comprehensive design school in the United States. Her career spans more than two decades of academic leadership, including serving as a full-time professor and Department Chair at the University of Kansas and directing KU’s roboLAB, where she integrated automation, fabrication, and digital design into architectural education.
Paola’s research focuses on industrialized construction, high-performance buildings, digital workflows, and robotics shaping healthier and more resilient environments. She brings strategic insight into design innovation, organizational leadership, and emerging technologies that strengthen BNIM’s future readiness. She has served on BNIM’s ESOP Board since October 2024.
