Higher Education / Description
Colleges and Universities face the same challenges as the world around them. This is a time when we must do more with less, and while this might seem like a restriction, it is in fact a tremendous opportunity. By planning and building more sustainably, we do more to educate future generations and restore our environment, all while providing buildings and practices that cost less to operate and maintain. BNIM utilizes many resources and benchmarking tools to implement sustainable solutions into campus master plans, building vision plans, sustainable master plans and facility designs and renovations.
BNIM is currently working with the UMKC to design a new building for the renowned Henry W. Bloch School of Management.
The School of Nursing unites façade design, building systems, resource conservation and materials reclamation in a high-performing, integrated facility.
The Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia will be world’s most sustainable academic lab building.
